Kep province

Kep is a small seaside town located on a group of hills going down to the beach.  Cambodian and Vietnamese islands are just offshore.  It's a half hour drive from Kampot, Cambodia and the Vietnam border; and 2 hours from SihanoukVille and Phnom Penh, Cambodia..

Bungalows, villas, guesthouses, and hotels are located on the hillside and the beaches.  Also, beachside bungalows on Rabbit Island.  There's not a whole lot of activity in Kep.  Mostly a place for relaxation, enjoying fresh seafood, going for walks, trekking though the hills, boating, bicycling and mountain biking, sitting on the beach, and as a stopover on the way to or from Vietnam.
This December, there will also be the Kep Sea Festival.  You might want to go there, or might want to avoid it as well, so make plans now.
Eat, (incredibly fresh seafood at the seaside Kep Crab Market), sleep, read, listen to music, walk around town and along the beach, visit the other villas, hotels, verandas and bungalows in town, (you'll find some luscious gardens and landscaping), bike or motorcycle, and sleep are the major activities here.
